Had the transfer case and Trans rebuilt and a little over a month later this shops services failed me substantially just outside Merritt BC with my 80yr old Grandfather along for a ride. Had it towed to Merrit GM they sent me pictures then explained what happened.I returned home and left the truck there, they sent some parts to GM to fix once the truck was together they realized the truck wouldnt shift into 4x4 unless at a dead stop I paid about 2700 labor that wasnt covered by there autocare warranty or whatever warranty a shop should have to look after customers who break down out of town but DC had no warranty unless you brought the truck to them. After getting the truck back in Morinville they did rebuild both the transfer case and trans, I asked why and was told the shift kit wasnt the usual brand they used. I was working late told them to hide a key in the GMC truck, I find a chrysler key with a big chrysler logo on it, that just topped off my frustration for this place. Thats my experience whats yours?
A previous vehicle of mine had a transmission from dc transmissions and had nothing but problems. And when I brought it in for work they all of a sudden couldnt find any of their paperwork for the warranty and suggested that I purchase a new cooler for the overheating, and insisted the problem was gone after, but it wasnt. I personally wont ever go back there, or refer this company to anyone that I know.
Needed my UTV tire installed on Friday at 4pm so I could ride this weekend. Walked in and they had it installed, last minute, within 30 mins. Plus they charged half of what any other dealer quoted me. Excellent people and even better service. I'll be taking all my automotive needs there.Update: Feb 2018 I had the clutch go in my car. Had it towed to DC and they had it on the hoist that day. Got the parts in quick and I was back on the road. Great service and prices.
Darcy and Dona are very good at what they do. Had a transmission rebuild by them and and i can say it works better than when it was new. They do great work and good prices and will always give you quality work.
